Fish Lads opened in 2013 with one goal in mind, to bring the freshest, highest quality seafood from around the world to West Michigan. Through building specialized relationships with suppliers and distributors we have certainly accomplished that goal. Fish Lads prides itself on offering not only the very best seafood but also the very best professional help and advice on preparing and cooking your fish. Don’t feel like cooking? Founder

Jeff Butzow

Owner Jeff Butzow is originally from Traverse City. After moving to Seattle in 1999 he spent the next 13 plus years mastering the craft of Fish Mongering in Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market. The desire to open his own business combined with the desire to get back to Michigan inspired him to work towards opening Fish Lads. Through hard work, lots of determination and a few interesting circumstances he found himself selling his house in Seattle, packing a few remaining belongings, and driving back home to make Fish Lads a reality.
